AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF HANNAN SUPPLY COMPANY,
INCORPORATED, FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF 1000} OF 11" FIRE HOSE,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT
FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAME AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
00 UPON WHICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COlvMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the bid of Hannan Supply Company, Incorporated,
for the sale to the City of Paducah, Kentucky of 1000 feet of lz inch
double jacket B. F. Goodrich Super Control fire hose in 50 foot
lengths coupled with type 80 drop forged brass rocker lug couplings
at ?1.0$5 per foot, be accepted, and that the City Manager be, and
he is hereby, authorized to enter into and execute a contract on
behalf of the City for the purchase of same.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting
of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1)
week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall
be put upon its final passage, but it being necessary for the public
health and safety that said fire hose be available for fire protection
purposes as soon as possible, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
