HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 626, No Ordinance Number626 / f AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF AN ALLEY SITUATED BETWEEN CLAY STREET AND TRIMBLE STREET AND RUNNING FROM 27TH STREET TO 28TH STREET OR JOE CLIFTON DRIVE IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL TO INSTITUTE A SUIT IN THE McCRACKEN CIRCUIT COURT FOR THE PURPOSE OF HAVING SAID PORTION OF SAID ALLEY LEGALLY CLOSED", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON FEBRUARY 8, 1955 BE IT ORDAINED BY THS BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on February 8, 1955 be amended so that said section as amended shall read as follows: "SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky does hereby authorize the closing of the following set out portion of an alley in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, situated between Clay Street and Trimble Street and running from 27th Street to 28th Street or Joe Clifton Drive. Beginning at a point on the east line of 28th Street or Joe 61ifton Drive 163.25 feet north of Clay Street, said point being where the south line of the aforesaid alley intersects the east line of 28th Street or Joe Clifton Drive; thence eastwardly and parallel with Clay street 130 feet: thence northwardly toward Trimble street and parallel with 28th Street or Joe Clifton Drive 20 feet; thence westwardly and parallel with Clay street 130 feet to a point on the east line of 28th street or Joe Clifton Drive; thence southwardly with the east line of 28th Street or Joe Clifton Drive 20 feet to the point of beginning." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. ETD.
