HANNAN COMPANY FOR ALTERATIONS TO THE HEATING PLANT FOR THE CITY HALL; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONTRACT TO PURCHASE SA11E BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of E. D. Hannan Company in the sum of $2,000.00 for alterations to the heating plant for the City Hall, such alterations shall be one Siemon FGO-2200 dual fuel burner with General B-55 valve, two 275 -gallon oil tanks, one 20" field type MG draft control with refractory combustion chamber constructed in accordance with recommendations of the manufacturer, and a 4" wrapped gas line from the property line on Kentu.jky Avenue to the meter setting, and including all piping and fittings from the meter to the burner, including all oil piping and wiring, and all labor. The above alteration to be completed and in working order not later than 15 days after date of execution of the contract. Before the contract is executed the bidder shall execute a sufficient performance bond in the amount of y12,000.00 to insure the proper performance and completion of the work, and shall provide and keep in force and effect liability insurance protecting the City of Paducah from any claim for damages to persons or property bf persons in the following amounts: ;10,000 for personal injury or death to any person '320,000 for personal injury or death to more than one person resulting from the same accident and 5,000 for damage to property in any one accident SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a contract with E. D. Hannan Company for the aforesaid alterations and installations as set out in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky and remain o file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, but it being necessary for the public health and safety that such alterations and installations be don as soon as possible, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
