HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 620, No Ordinance Number6zy / r AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF A JANITOR TO CLEAN AND MAINTAIN THE CITY HALL BUILDING AND THE FURNISHINGS THEREIN; PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF SUCH POSITION AND THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID THEREFOR BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That there is hereby created a position to be known as "Janitor at the City Hall", said Janitor to have the entire responsibility of cleaning and maintaining the City Hall and all furnishings therein. It shall be the duty of the Janitor to work during such hours as may be designated by the City Manager, and he shall be responsible to the City Manager and the Board of Commission- ers for the proper performance of his duties and the cleaning and maintaining of the entire interior of the City Hall building and the furnishings therein. SECTION 2. Any person employed as Janitor by the Board of Commissioners may be removed at any time either with or without cause, and shall not acquire any rights or privileges under any rules of civil service established by ordinance or statute. The compensation to be paid the Janitor shall be the sum of $180.00 per month, payable at the same time and in the same manner other employees of the City are paid; such salary to be a current departmental expense and the same shall be chargable to the amount appropriated for the maintenance and care of the City Hall upon the adoption of the reapportionment ordinance for the year 1956. SECTION 3.
