HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 592, No Ordinance Number592/, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9 OF THE "APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES* CIVIL SIERVICE ORDINANCE", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COZM4ISSIONERSON DECEMBER 2, 191.7 AND 94E DED ON NOVEMBER 1, 1955 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 9 of the "Appointive Employees' Civil Service Ordinance", which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on December 2, 1947 and amended on.November 1, 1955, be further amended and reordained so that said Section as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "SECTION 9. There is hereby authorized and created the following positions not assigned to any department of the City of Paducah, but directly under the supervision of the City Manager, and the salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted shall be as follows: Position Number Position 1 City Clerk 2 Secretary to City Manager and Mayor 3 Clerk -typist 4 Social Worker Maintenance 5 Chief of Maintenance Division 6 Maintenance Men (2 positions) 7 Maintenance Helper (2 positions) Inspections 8 Building & Electrical Inspector 9 Clerk -typist Salary Per Month ?296. o0 284.00 200.00 120.00 325.00 240.00 220.00 390.00 180.00 Clerk -typist under this section shall be paid at the rate og $180.00 for the first sixmonths, x;190.00 per month for the next six months and $200.00 per month thereafter upon recommendation of the City Manager. The Building & Electrical Inspector shall perform the duties formerly performed by the Building Inspector and the Electrical Inspector, and said Building & Electrical Inspector shall be under the direct supervision of the City Manager." SECTION 2, Q11 ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION �_ This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
