CIVIL SERVICE ORDINANCE" WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSION-
ERS ON DECEMVER 2, 1947 AND AMENDED ON JANUARY 30, 1953
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1_ That Section 8-C of the "Appointive Employees
Civil Service Ordinance" which was adopted by the Board of Commission-
ers on December 2, 1947 and amended on January 30, 1953, be, and the
same is hereby amended and reordained so that said section as amended
and reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 8-C. There is hereby authorized and created the
following positions in the Cemetery Department and the salary of
each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed
under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted shall be as
follows:

1 This Department shall be under the direction
and supervision of the Cemetery Superintendent, a
non -civil service position which has heretofore
been created by separate ordinance and which is
not included in this ordinance
Hourly Rate
2 Laborers (3 positions) $1.25
Present employees occupying the positions
of Laborer shall be paid $1.25 per hour.
Persons employed hereafter shall be paid
at the rate of $1.111¢ per hour for the
first six months oftheir employment and
$1.25 per hour thereafter."

SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
