PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF SAID POSITION AND THE SALARY THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. There is hereby created the position in the
City of Paducah, Kentucky to be known as the Cemetery Superintendent.
The person occupying the position of 'Cemetery Superintendent
shall be charged with the supervision of all work connected with
the operation and maintenance of Oak Grove Cemetery and its
Additions, and such other related duties as may be required and
designated by the City Manager, and such position shall be under
the direction and supervision of 'the City Manager..
The salary_of the.Cemetery Superintendent shall be $270.00
per month and shall be paid at the same time and in the same manner
as the salary of other employees are paid. Said position shall
not be a civil service position -or covered by any provision of the
Civil Service Ordinance of the City of Paducah or by the provisions
of the Civil Service Statutes of the State of Kentucky, and any
person filling such position shall not acquire any rights under the
rules of civil service governing employees in cities of the second
class.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in Conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTS This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
