That Section 2 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted on Ilay 31, 1950; and amended on May 1, 19562 be, and the same is. hereby amended so that said section as amended shall read as follows: "SECTION 2. License fee required. It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in. or follow any trade, occupation or pro- fession within the city on and after the lst day of July, 1956, to and including the 30th day of September., 1956, without paying a license fee for the privilege of engaging in or following such trade, occupation, or profession, which license fee shall be measured by one pEr centum of the gross receipts of each such person; and it shall be unlawful for any person to engage in or follow any trade, occupation or profession within the city on and after -the lst day of October, 1956 without paying a license fee for the privilege of engaging in or following such trade, occupation or profession, which license fee shall be measured by one-half of one per centum of the gross receipts of each such person." SECTICII 2.
