HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 567, No Ordinance NumberAid ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER IIJTO A CONTRACT V)ITH AN D -X SUNRAY OIL COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF REGULAR AND ETHYL GASOLINE, DIESEL FUEL, 140TOR OIL, CHASSIS LUBRICATdT, GEAR LUBE OIL AND ANTI -FREEZE FOR USE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY FOR THE PERIOD FROM JULY 1, 1956 TO DECEIZER 31, 1956, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID'PURCHASES SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COTR.aSSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Paducah with D -X Sunray Oil Company for the purchase of regular gasoline and ethyl gasoline at the established tank wagon price at time of delivery G• 018 less Federal tax and less discount of per gallon; in no event is the net price of regular gasoline to exceed ;y0.229 per gallon less discount, and in no event shall the net price of ethyl gasoline exceed A.254 per gallon less said discount; the octane rating of regular gasoline to.be 90 and the octane rating of ethyl gasoline to be 97; No. 2 diesel fuel at the present tank wagon price of f?'0.145 per gallon less discount of 5;30.0175 per gallon; oils and greases as follows: Premium Grade Brand D -X motor oil in 55 gallon drums at 5 per gallon less discount of ?0.09 per gallon; First Grade H -D Diesel Lube Diamond Brand T.B.D. motor oil at :0.68 per gallon less discount of :,10.22 per gallon; First Grade Non -detergent Diamond Brand P-<otor Oil at gj0.62 per gallon less discount of 50.09 per gallon; Chassis Lubricant D -X Brand all purpose in 100-120 pound drums at 50.205 per pound, less discount of 50.015 per pound; D -X Brand all purpose gear lubricant in 55'gallon-drums 110 and 90 weight at '1.12 per gallon, less discount of x:0.16 per gallon; Permanent type anti -freeze in case lots of 6 1 -gallon cans ;;;2.17 per gallon, Tess discount of x0.22 per gallon. All products furnished to the City will be paid for on or about the 15th day of the month following purchase and the City is to have 11 cash fiscount in ten (10) days on motor oils and greases and 2% discount ten (10) days on anti -freeze. The City shall not be required to make deposit on drums but will return the drums. All prices are to be guaranteed against advance and the City is to receive the benefit of any price reduction. The Company will furnish and install three (3) electrically operated and metered gasoline pumps, necessary tanks and concrete islands and will furnish one (1) electrically operated and metered pump and underground tank. 568 In the event of _Fire or other emergency, the Company will deliver its products upon call at any time day or night seven (7) days a meek. SECTION 2.
