FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ;�9 AND rll LII--iESTONE, P,-1TUCKY STATE HIGHWAY SPECIFICATIONS, FOR USE BY THE CITY DURING 1956, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAI -1E, AND PRESCRIBING THE TER4S AND CONDITIONS UNDER I'1HICH SAID PURCHASES SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTIO: 1. That the bid of Reed Crushed Stone Company, Inc. for the sale to the City of Paducah of ir9 and 'Al Limestone, Kentucky State Highway Specifications, required by the City during the year 1956 (approximately 5000 to 8000 tons) be accepted, and that the City Manager be, and he ishereby, authorized to enter into and execute a contract for the purchase, upon the order of the City, of all such �r9 and 71111 limestone to be used during the year 1956, such contract to provide for theprice of ;;2.00 per ton,. The timestone to be delivered to any destination in the city limits of the city as ordered by the Director of Public ':Torks in oen hundred tor_ lots or more and delivery to begin within twenty-four hours after notification and continue until the required amount has been delivered. All weights of delivered limestone must be certified at some accurate scale at or near the City of Paducah at the expense of the Seller. The Seller shall furnish representative samples of the limestone at the request of the Director of Public Works. The Seller shall guarantee against advance in the market price and guarantee reduction in the event of a decrease in the market price. The Seller shall post a performance bond in the sum of X1,500.00 guaranteeing specifications and delivery. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, but it being necessary for the public health and safety of the City of Paducah that said material be available as soon as possible for street repair work, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. 0" Mayor Introduced by the Board of Commissioners May 22, 1956 Passed by the Board of Commissioners June 12, 1956 Recorded by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, June 12, 1956.
