HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 545, No Ordinance Number545�� AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ANNEXATION AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY AND NECESSITY OF EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH WEST CORPORATE LIFTS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF THAT TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CODA :3310HERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCItY: SECTION 1_ It is hereby proposed that certain property lying adjacent to the south nest corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, more particularly described hereinafter, be annexed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and that said property proposed to be annexed is described as follows: Beginning at a point in the present city limits line at the south east corner of Lot IIo. 8 in Block "A« in Sunset Court Subdivision; thence north with the east line of said lot No. 8 145 feet to a point on the south line of Buckner 'Lane; thence continuing across Buckner Lane in a straight line to the north line of Buckner Lane; thence west with the north line of Buckner Lane 150 feet, more or less, to a point in line with the west lire of Lot 13 in Block "A" in Sunset Court Subdivision; thence southerly and across Buckner Lane to a point on the south line of same at the north west corner of said Lot No. 13; thence southerl;T with the west line of said Lot No. 13.145 feet to the south west corner of same; thence eastwardly along the rear lines of Lots Nos. 13, 12, 11, 10, 9 and 8 of said Block "A" 150 feet to the point of beg nning. SECTION 2. It is hereby declared that extending the boundary of the City of Paducah, Kentucky by annexing the property described in Section 1 is desirable and necessary. SECTION 3_ This ordinance shall be published in at least ten (10) issues of the Sun -Democrat, the official newspaper of the City of Paducah, Kentucky and the extension of the City Limits as herein proposed shall not become effective until the adoption of an ordinance annexing the above described property as herein proposed, and such ordinance shall not be adopted until publication of same as provided and until the expiration of a period of thirty (30) days after the passage of this ordinance.
