HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 539, No Ordinance Number53� AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE GRANTING API AUTHORIZATION AND PER141T TO PADUCAH TRANSIT CORPORATION FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT, MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF A MOTOR BUS TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY FOR THE TRANSPORTATION FOR HIRE OF PASSENGERS AS A COMMON CARRIER; FIXING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SUCH GRANT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST", WHICH VIAS ADOPTED Oid DECEMBER 28, 1954 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 3 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted on December 28, 1954, be, and the same is hereby amended so that said section as amended shall read as follows: "SECTION 3. Routes. Operation of motor bus transportation service shall be es- tablished, operated and regularly maintained upon the hereinafter designated streets, and in the event of interference with or obstruction to the said transportation service, so fixed and determined, by reason of the physical condition of the streets, the nearest available and conveniently operative temporary alternate route shall be used until such interference or obstruction shall be terminated. The streets and routes to be established and maintained by the grantee shall be as follows: #1 ROVILANDTOPIN ROUTE no change i'r'2 AVOLDALE ROUTE No change #2 ARCADIA ROUTE No change GUTHRIE ROUTE No change 2,4 UNIONSTATIONNo change , TYLER ROUTE No change 6 NOBLE PARK ROUTE Beginning point at 3rd and Broadway Streets, north on 3rd Street to Madison Street, west on Madison Street to 13th Street, north on 13th Street to Clay Street, west on Clay Street to 28th Street, north on 28th Street to Park Avenue, east on Park Avenue J to 21st treet, south on 21st Street to Clay Street, return same route to 6th Street and Broadway, east on Broadway to beginning point at 3rd and Broadway Streets. 540 1#7 LONE OAK ROUTE No change No change in such routes shall be made by the grantee except by authority of an ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the City." SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to theextent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 3.
