HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 533, No Ordinance NumberA `r7E VDE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF ATTORNEYS TO REPRESENT THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, IN LEGAL MATTERS; FIXING THE NUMBER TO BE EI4PLOYED AND THE AMOUNT OF THEIR COMPENSATION; PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF SUCH ATTORNEYS; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON APRIL 24, 1951, AND AMENDED ON AUGUST 12, 1952 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COM14ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: 533✓ SECTION 1_ That Section 6 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above which was adopted on April 24, 1951 and amended on August 12, 1952, be further amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "SECTION 6. The monthly salaries of the attorneys employed by the City of Paducah shall be in amounts as follows: (1) Corporation Counsel x;330.00 (2) Assistant Corporation Counsel assi:ghed to handling of civil matters 230.00 (3)Assistant Corporation Counsel assigned to Police Court 150.00 The salaries of attorneys shall be paid at the same time and in the same manner as the salaries of other employees of the City are paid." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect on and after May 1, 1956.
