"AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE NLEBER, RANKS AND MONTHLY SALARIES OF
THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH",
WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON DECEMBER 11, 1951
AND AMENDED ON SEPTEMBER 14, 1954
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted on December 11, 1951, and amended on
September 14, 1954, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so
that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows•

Provided, however, that any fireman hereafter appointed, during
his first year of service shall receive a salary of $245.00 per month
and upon comzletion of a year of satisfactmry service as determined by
the City Manager on recommendation of the Fire Chief, his monthly
salary shall be increased to $255.00 for the second year of service, and
upon completion of the second year of satisfactory service as determined
by the City Manager on recommendation of the Fire Chief, his monthly
salary shall be increased to the sum of $265.00."
SECTION 2_ All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3_ This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
