"AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE OPERATION
OF A MUNICIPAL COLLEGE IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", WHICH
WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COIN51ISSIONERS ON NOVEMBER 6, 1939
AND AMENDED ON MAY 10, 1955.
WHEREAS, a vacancy in the membership of the Board of
Trustees of the Paducah Junior College has been created by the
resignation of Sam Finkel, and it is necessary to fill said
vacancy;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the
title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners
on November 6, 19393 and'amended on May 10, 1955, be amended and
reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall read
as follows:
"SECTION -1_ That Marshall E. Nemer be appointed a member of
the Board of Trustees of the Paducah Junior College to fill the vacancy
created by the resignation of Sam Finkel so that said Board of Trustees
as now constituted shall be composed of John G. Russell, Brady M.
Stewart, T. S.Waller, W. A. Conway, Luther Carson, Dr. Leon Higdon,
Schultz Riggs, Roy Vance and Marshall E. Nemer. Said Board of Trustees
shall control the municipal college in the City of Paducah which has
been established pursuant to the provisions of KMS 165.160 to 165.200
and area to have all of the powers given to them pursuant to the
provisions of said statutes."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
