AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A DEED FROM THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY FOR THEUSE
AND BENEFIT OF THE COMMISSIONERS OF WATER WORKS TO THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, CONVEYING CERTAIN PROPERTY NEAR THIRD AND
MADISON STREETS FOR SEWER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, on February 7, 1955 the Board of Commissioners of
Water Works of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, adopted a Resolution
authorizing the conveyance of certain land near Third and Madison
Streets in Paducah, Kentucky for the consideration of $240.00,
said consideration being the cost of said land purchased by the
Commissioners of Water Works from the City of Paducah on August
21, 1950, and
WHEREAS, such land is needed by the City as a site for a sewer
pump station.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMP+IISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are
hereby, authorized to convey, on behalf of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky for the use and benefit of the Commissioners of Water
Works, to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, certain land situated and
being ih the City of Paducah, County of McCracken and State of
Kentucky, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the easterly line of North Third
Street 240 feet north of the north line of Madison Street;
thence in an easterly direction and parallel with Madison
Street 59.4 feet more or less to the west right of way
line of the Floodwall; thence in a southeasterly direction
and with said Floodwall right of way line 38.22 feet; thence
in a westerly direction and parallel with Madison Street
72.34 feet more or less to the east line of North Third
Street; thence in a northerly direction and with the east
line of Third Street 36 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. After the execution of the deed as set out in
Section 1 hereof, the City Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay
to the Commissioners of Water Works of the City of Paducah, Kentucky
the sum of $240.00 as the full purchase price for said land to be
paid from funds in the account known as "City of Paducah, Kentucky
Sanitary Sewerage Improvemenb Program Construction'Account."
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
