API ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BY AN14EXING A CERTAIN PORTION OF BUCKNER LANE ADJACENT TO THE SOUTHWEST CORPORATE LIi'ITS OF TIIE CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAME WHICH IS TO BE i:INCLUDED WITIiIN SAID CORPORATE LIMTS WHEREAS under an ordinance adopted on November 25, 1955, the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by and through its Board of Commission- ers, proposed to extend the boundary of the city by annexing a certain portion of Buckner Lane lying adjacent to the southwest corporate limits of the City, which portion is hereinafter more particularly described, and WHEREAS said ordinance declaring the desirability of extending the boundary as herein provided has been published in ten (10) issues of the Sun -Democrat, the official newspaper of the City, and WHEREAS a period of more than thirty (30) days has elapsed since the enactment of the aforesaid ordinance, and WHEREAS no petition or complaint has been filed in the McCracken Circuit Court protesting such extension of the city limits. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described portion of Buckner Lane be annexed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the same being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point where the present city limits, as located along the line dividing lots 8 and 7, Block "A", "Sunset Court Addition", recorded in Plat Book "A", pages 244-245, McCracken County Court Clerk's office, intersects the south property line of Buckner Lane, said point being 185.41 west of the south west corner of the intersec- tion of Buckner Lane and Fortieth Street; thence at right angles in a northerly direction to the north property line of Buckner Lane and to a point in the south line of lot 26, Block 11G11, Gregory Heights Addition as recorded in Plat Book f7Atl, pages 118-119, McCracken County Court Clerk's office; thence in an easterly direction and along the north property line of Buckner Lane to a point in the present city limits line, said point being where the east line of an alley in Block "H11, Gregory Heights Addition, intersects the north line of Buckner Lane; thence in a southerly direction and along the present city limits line to the south property line of Buckner Lane; thence in a westerly direction and with the south property line of Buckner Lane also the present city limits line, to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
