FINANCE AGENCY OF THE SUM OF :,;40,000.00 IN REPAYMEN`f OF FUNDS HERETO-
FORE ADVANCED TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY FOR PLAN PREPARATION
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SEINER FACILITIES
WHEREAS the sum of :40,000.00 has heretofore been advanced to
the City of Paducah, Kentucky by Housing & Home Finance Agency of the
United States by an initial advance of 020,000.00 on December 31, 1946
and a final advance of p20,000.00 on July 28, 1948, and
WHEREAS such funds were advanced under an agreement that same
would be returned when all or part of the construction is undertaken
or started, and
WHEREAS heretofore and on the 6th day of December, 1955 the
Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah authorized the City Planager
to enter into contracts for the construction of such sewer facilities
consisting of a sewage disposal plant, pump stations and intercepting
sewers.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COM1,1ISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Treasurer be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to pay the sum of $40,000.00 to Housing and Home
Finance Agency of the United States of America in full payment of the
grant made to the City of Paducah, Kentucky by said Agency in the sum
o£ •;x20,000.00 on December 31, 1946 and the sum of 02,0,000.00 on July 28,
1948, said sum of :;:40,000.00 to be paid from the funds known as "Sanitary
Sewerage Improvement Program Construction Account."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on
file for public inspection for at least one (1) week_ in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if,adopted
shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
