AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF CARROTHERS CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY, INC. IN THE ARTOUNT OF -'x459,045.00 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF CONTRACT N0, 3 SEWAGE TREATb1ENT PLANT OF THE SANITARY SEWERAGE
IPIPROVEMENT PROGRAM, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
C014TRACTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY WITH SAID
CARROTHERS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky approve and
accept the bid of Carrothers Construction Company, Inc. in the
amount of .''5459,045.00 for the construction of Contract No. 3, Sewage
Treatment Plant of the Sanitary Sewerage Improvement Program, said
construction to be done according to plans, specifications and
documents prepared by Black & Veatch, Consulting Engineers of
Kansas City, 14issouri, entitled: "Contract Documents, Notice to
Contractors, Instructions to Bidders, Proposal Form, Bond Form,
Contract Agreement Form, General Conditions, Special Conditions
and Specifications;" and "Contract No. 3, Sewage Treatment Plant
and Supplemental Agreement to the Contract".
SECTION 2. The City Manager of the City of Paducah, Kentucky
is hereby authorized to execute the contract and supplemental agree-
ment to the contract as set out in Section 1 hereof for and on behalf
of the City of Paducah, Kentujky with Carrothers Construction company,
Inc.
SECTIODi 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form
in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall
be.in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
