HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 428, No Ordinance Number42$ / AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CLOSING OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF 24TH STREET SOUTH OF WASHINGTON STREET AND THE CLOSING OF AN ALLEY RUNNING FROM 24TH STREET TO 25TH STREET SITUATED BETWEEN WASHINGTON STREET AND CLARK STREET, AND AUTHORIZING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL TO INSTITUTE ACTION IN THE McCRACKEN CIRCUIT COURT FOR THE PURPOSE OF CLOSING SUCH STREET AND ALLEY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1_ That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing of that part of 24th Street extending southwardly from the south -line of Washington street a distance of 181.5 feet toward Clark street; and the closing of the alley 16.5 feet wide running from 24th street to 25th street and situated between Washington and Clark streets. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah is hereby authorized and empowered to institute, pursuant to the provisions of KRS 94.360, a suit for a decree ordering the closing of said street and alley. . SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
