HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 424, No Ordinance Number424 , AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN LAND OF FINLEY BECK AND WIFE, THELMA PECK, FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES, AND PROVIDING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of-2Paducah, Kentucky purchase from Finley Peck and wife, Thelma Peck, the following described - land situated in the City of Paducah, County of McCracken and State of Kentucky: Beginn ing at a point on the west property line of -a 601 Street, known as Broad Street, 3901 north of the north- west corner of the intersection of Broad Street and Brown Avenue; thence in a westerly direction and parallel with Brown Avenue 651; thence in a southerly direction and parallel with Broad Street 2151, more or less to the center of Cross Creek or the south property line of the party of the first part; thence in an easterly direction and with the south property line of'the party of the first part 651, more or less, to the west property line of Broad Street; thence in a northerly direction -and with the west property line of Broad Street 2151, more or less, to the point of beginning. Said land being purchased for public purposes. The purchase price to be paid by the City for said land is the sum of $500.00, and upon receipt of a deed from Finley Peck and wife, Thelma Peck, conveying said land to the City of Paducah, and approved by the Corporation Counsel, the City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to pay said sum to said Finley Peck and wife, Thelma Peck, in"full payment for said land. SECTION 2.
