HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 406, No Ordinance Number406 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE GRANTING PERMISSION TO LEG1NARD COHEN AND/OR HIS ASSIGNS TO CONSTRUCT, OPERATE AND MAINTAIN TELEVISION SIGNAL CABLES, LINES AND APPURTENANCES UPON, ALONG, ACROSS, OVER AND UNDER THE STREETS, ALLEYS AND PUBLIC WAYS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PERMISSION IS GRANTED", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY ON OCTOBER 5, 1954• WHEREAS, by the above entitled ordinance the aforesaid Leonard Cohen and/or his assigns was granted permission to construct, operate and maintain television signal cables, lines and appurtenances upon, along, across, over and under the streets, alleys and public ways of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and WHEREAS, some question has arisen as to what type, manner and operation of such equipment would be to the best interest of the citizens of Paducah, Kentucky, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky that insufficient technical and engineering data has been presented for consideration, and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky now feels it is to the best interest of the citizens therein that said permission be withdrawn and said ordinance granting same be repealed. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMP+ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on October 5, 1954 be, and the same is hereby repealed. SECTION 2.
