Subject to tlzo conditions sec out hereinafte:,, permission is hereby ;,'anted to ,.`.id?lest Video Corporation, and/or its assi.Lns to construct, operate and maintain television Signal Cables and lines upon, along, across, over and under the streets, alleys and public mays of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, including• such poles, mires, cross - arms, insulators, fi.7ctttres, cables and other structures, appliances and appurtenances as may from time 'to time be necessary for the distribution of television si jnals to the public. All of said cables, lines, and associated equipilent. shall be constructed and maintained ill a sa=e and rroriz-fanlike rianner, and the said 1 d?aest Video Corporation and/or its assigns shall furnish a surety company bond to the Citl- in the stud of ,10,000.00 indemnifying the City from any damage that !'A:;lt be caused to any streets, alleys or other public property in connection vrith such construction, maintenance and operation. SECTIO11 2. The said i•Ii drrest Video Corporation and/or its assigns shall furnish the city with comprehensive . eneral liabili_cy insurance pro- tectint,, the City against damages and injuries to persons and pr=operty caused by them or any Of their employees and contractors, said insurance to be in the stun Of ;;,100,000.00 for personal injury or death to any one person; and — "ys wg 39 in the stem o_" ;`300,000.00 for personal injury or death to more than one per resultil from tha same accident; 1','f50,000.00 for damage to property in any one accident. SECS The permission granted by this ordinance shall be for a period of ten (10) years from its adoption, unless sooner terminated by operation of law or by ordinance of the'City because of any violation of any terms and -conditions contained herein, and may be revoked unless substantial construction is commenced vrithin 120 clays from the effective date hereof. S;CTIOII 4. The permission granted by this ordinance is granted subject to all present and future lams of the Commonwealth of hentucicy _ and the United States of America and sl1aL not be construed as a franchise or exclusive right; nor shall it relieve the said==i_dwest Video Corporation and/or its assigns from the payment of any taxes or license fees that may be imposed by law or ordinance upon the aforesaid equipment located within the corporate limits of the City and the operation thereof. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be introduced and.remain on fil for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
