A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE BY TILE CITY OF PADUCAH OF CERTAIN CORRUGATED
AETAL PIPE AND THE ERECTION OF SAI.-,, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERI•IS AND
CONDITIONS TO BE CONPLIED WITH BY BIDDERS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COI-i!•ZSSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, IffiidTUCKY;
SECTION 1. That the City Ianager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and requested to advertise for bids for the sale to
the city of paducah, kentucky of the following corrugated metal
pipe;
ITE3I 1. 170 linear feet of 12011 diameter corrugated
metal pipe, No. 5 gauge.
ITEI.i 2. 170 linear feet of 14411 diameter corrugated
metal pipe, No. 5 gauge.
ITE.. 3 170 linear feet of 15611 diameter corrugated
metal pipe, No. 3 gauge.
ITE1.1 L 170 linear feet of 16811 diameter corrugated
metal pipe, No. 3 gauge.
Each bidder shall give separate prives for each item bid upon and
shall state the amount he uIll accept for erection cost of each item
bid ypon, with all drainage diversion and preparation of sub -grade upon
which pipe is to be erected to be done by the City of Paducah.
SECTION 2. The City Kanager shall advertise for bids by a notice
posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request
for bids in at least one issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall
be posted and published at least seven (7) days prior to the opening of
bids and no bid shall be opened within ten (10) days from the date on
which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received after the
hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by
the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed with
the Board of Commissioners who may let the contract to the lowest
responsible bidder.
The Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject
any and all bids and the city shall not become legally obligated
to purchase said pipe and contract for erection cost until the
adoption of an ordinance authorizing the exeuution of such contract.
SECTION This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
