A CONTRACT WITH GULF REFINING COTMANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL
REGULAR AND ETHYL GASOLINE, DIESEL FUEL, MOTOR OIL, CHASSIS
LUBRICANT, GEAR LUBE OIL AND ANTI -FREEZE FOR USE BY THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR TIIE PERIOD OF TIME FROM JULY 1, 1955 TO
DECM•IBER 31, 1955, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERI-iS AND CONDITIONS UPON
WHICH SAID PURCHASES SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY TIIE BOARD OF COI-KISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to enter into a contract, on behalf of the city of
Paducah, with Gulf Refining Company for the purchase of regular
gasoline and ethyl gasoline at the established tank wagon price
at time of delivery, less Federal Tax and less discount of 1.750
per gallon; in no event shall the net price of regular gasoline
exceed 15.90 per gallon, less the discount of 1.75¢, and in no
event shall the net price of ethyl gasoline exceed 18.40 per gallon,
less 1.750 discount; the octane rating of regular gasoline is to
be equal or exceed 84 and the octane rating of ethyl gasoline is to
equal or exceed a rating of 90; diesel fuel at the present tank
wagon price of 14.20 per gallon, less 1.5¢ per gallon discount;
oils and greases as follows: Gulfpride H.D.: at 01.06 per gallon in
one -quart cans, '?1.02 per gallon in five -quart cans and 92¢ per
gallon in 55 gallon drums; Gulflube H.D. 770 per gallon in one -quart
cans, 63¢ per gallon in 55 gallon drums; Gulf Dieselube H.D. 490
per gallon in 55 gallon drums; Chassis lubricant - Gulflex "All
1$0 per pound in 400 pound drums, 191po per pound in 120 pound drums;
Gulf multi-purpose gear libricant 990 per gallon in 55 gallon drums,
:,1.12 per gallon in 16 gallon drums, 01.15 per gallon in 5 gallon cans;
Gulf permanent type anti -freeze at 0?2.27 par gallon in 24 one -quart
case lots and 5)2.17 Per gallon in 6 one -quart case lots, less 10;'
discount for a firm order of 400 gallons for one delivery; all
55 gallon returnable steel drums to be subject to deposit of ';)6.00
each for heavy gauge and ;x4.00 each for light gauge, all deposits
to be refunded to the City upon return of the drums in good condition.
All prsces are guaranteed against advance and the City is to
receive benefit of any price reduction.
The Gulf Refining Company is to furnish and install, without
cost Co the City, three electrically operated and metered gasoline

Pumps, necessary tanks and concrete islands, and one electrically
operated and metered diesel pump and underground tank.
SBCTIOK 2. This ordivence shall be introduced and remain on
file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage,,and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
