AN ORDINANCE MENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
I:ENTUCKY BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE NORTHIVIEST
CORPORATE LI1,LITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH ON THE NORTH SIDE OF I ORTH
EIGHTH STREET, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAME WHICH IS
TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIIZTS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KEIITUCKY
WHEREAS under an ordinance adopted on April 12, 1955 the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, by and through its Board of Commissioners,
proposed to extend the boundary of the City of Paducah by annexing
certain property lying adjacent to the northwest corporate limits of
the City of Paducah on the north side of North Eighth Street, which
property is hereinafter more particularly described, and
[WHEREAS said ordinance declaring the desirability of extending
the boundary as herein proposed has been published in ten (10) issues
of the Sun -Democrat, the official newspaper of the City of Paducah, and
IMREAS a period of more than thirty (30) days has elapsed
since the enactment of the aforesaid ordinance, and
WHEREAS no petition or complaint has been filed in the
McCracken Circuit Court protesting such extension of the city limits.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C0114ISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described property lying
adjacent to the northwest corporate limits of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky on the north side of North Eighth Street be annexed to the
City of Paducah, the same being more accurately defined as follows:
Beginning at a point where the present city limits of the
City of Paducah intersects the north property line of Eighth
street; thence in a northerly direction at an interior angle
of $900$4 and with thepresent city limits 1017.64 crossing
the center line of the Paducah Floodwall at Station 84 / 14
to the north right of way line of the Paducah Floodwall-
thence in a westerly direction at an interior angle of $50104
and with the north right of way line of the Paducah Floodwall
along a line 1304 from and parallel with the center line of
said floodwall a distance of 1774 to Station 85 f 80; thence
at right angles in a southerly direction 604; thence at right
angles and in a westerly direction along the north right of
way line of the floodwall 704 from and parallel with the center
line of said floodwall a distance of 18201 to Floodwall Station
104 00; thence at right angles in a southerly direction 104;
thence at right angles and in a westerly direction along the
north right of way line of the flobdwall 601 from and parallel
with the center line of said floodwall a distance of 386.71
to a point where the old city limits line crosses said right of
wagthence in a southerly direction at an interior angle of
96 �01 and with the old city limits iine crossing the center line
Of the floodwall at Station 107 / 93 a distance of 709.21 to the
north property line of Eighth Street, the present city limits
line; thence with the present city limits line, in an easterly
direction at an interior angle of $90421, and with the north
property line of Eighth Street 23751 to the point of beginning.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full _Force and effect
from and after its adoption.
