ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF CERTAIN
SEWER PIPE, T1YES AVID STOPPERS, AND PRESCRIBING THE, TER•IS A:iD C033-

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COiIZSSIOITERS OF THE CITY OF'
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and requested to advertise for bids for the sale to the
City of Paducah, Kentucky of the following sever pipe, wyes and -
stoppers;
1530 linear feet 1077 vitrified clay sewer pipe
1175 linear feet 8" vitrified clay server pipe
150 linear feet 697 vitrified clay sewer pipe
32 pieces 6 inch on 10 inch wye branch
40 pieces 6 inch on 8 inch uye branch

72 pieces 6 inch clay stopper
1 piece 8 inch clay stopper
1 piece 10 inch clay stopper
The pipe and fittings shall meet ASTi.I specifications
C13 for standard strength clay sewer pipe and shall be delivered
F.O.B. job site in truck lot as -requested by City. Bidders shall
state in bid length of pipe they propose to furnish.
SECTIOV 2. The City iana;er shall advertise for bids by a
notice posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the
request for bids in at least one (1) issue of the Sun-Daaocrat. The
notice shall be posted and published at least seven (7) days prior to
the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten (10) days
from the date on which this resolution is adopted. -No bid shall
be received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received after
the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids
received by the City I.anager up to the time fixed iii the notice
shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the
contract to the lowest and 'nest responsible bidder. The Board of
Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids
and the City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said
sewer pipe, wyes and stoppers until 'the adoption of an ordinance
authorizing the execution of a contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in .full force and effect
from and after its adoption. /� Q
