AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ANNEXATION AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY
AND NECESSITY OF EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE NORTH-
WEST CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH ON THE NORTH SIDE OF
NORTH 8TH STREET, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF THAT
TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF
THE CITY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMNffSSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. It is hereby proposed that certain territory
adjacent to the northwest corporate limits of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, more particularly described hereinafter, be annexed to
the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and said property so proposed to be
annexed is described as follows:
Beginning at a point where the present city limits of the
City of Paducah intersects the north property line of Eighth
street; thence in a northerly direction at an interior angle
of $900$4 and with the present city limits 1017.64 crossing
the center line of the Paducah Floodwall at Station 84 / 14
to the north right of way line of the Paducah Floodwall•
thence in a westerly direction at an interior angle of 50104
and with the north right of way line of the Paducah Floodwall
along a line 1304 from and parallel with the center line of
said floodwall a distance of 1774 to Station 85 f 80; thence
at right angles in a southerly direction 604; thence at right
angles and in a westerly direction along the north right of
way line of the floodwall 704 from and parallel with the center
line of said floodwall a distance of 1$204 to floodwall Station
104 f 00; thence at right angles in a southerly direction 104;
thence at right angles and in a westerly direction along the
north right of way line of the floodwall 604 from and parallel
with.the center line of said floodwall a distance of 386.74
to a point where the old city limits line crosses said right of
wa� thence in a southerly direction at an interior angle of
96 b04 and with the old City Limits Line crossing the center line
of the floodwall at Station 107 f 93 a distance of 709.24 to the
north property line of Eighth Street, the present City Limits
Line; thence with the present City Limits Line, in an easterly
direction at an interior angle of $90424, and with the north
property fine of Eighth street 23754 to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published in at least ten (10)
issues of the Sun -Democrat, the official newspaper of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, and the extension of the city limits as herein
proposed shall not become effective until the adoption of an ordinance
annexing the above described property as herein proposed, and such
ordinance shall not be adopted until the expiration of a period of
thirty (30) days after the passage of this ordinance and publication
thereof according to law.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
