A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER
TO RECEIVE BIDS AT PUBLIC AUCTION FOR THE PROPERTY AT #524 NORTH
4TH STREET IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY OPINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, K& NTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to receive bids at public auction for the
property at #524 North 4th Street owned by the City of Paducah.
Before proceeding with such auction sale,. the City Manager shall
advertise the time, terms and place thereof by posting at the City
Hall door; on the property to be sold and at the Court House door
a written notice of such sale for at least ten (10) days next
preceding the date of said sale; and in addition thereto shall
advertise such sale in the Sun -Democrat one time at least three
(3) days next preceding the date of sale.
SECTION 2. The purchase price for said property shall
be paid as follows:- An amount equal to 10% of the successful bid
at the time the sale is closed and the balance to be paid in cash
at the time of the delivery of the deed.
SECTION 3. The purchaser shall be willing to accept a
deed with covenant of special warranty, subject to any state of facts
which might be shown by an accurate survey of the property and also
subject to any and all rights of the present tenant._
SECTION 4. The right is reserved to reject all bids and
the City of Paducah shall not become legally obligated to sell and
convey said property until the adoption of an ordinance ratifying
the sale and authorizing the execution of a deed.
SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
