CIVIL SERVICE ORDINANCE", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COrirrvaSSIONERS ON DECEMBER 2, 1947, AND AMENDED OCTOBER 6, 1953 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO1'12JSSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, Ii.ENTUCRY: SECTION 1. That Section 8-B of the "Appointive Employees, .Civil Service Ordinance", which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on December 2, 1947, and amended on October 6, 1953, be further amended and reordained so that said Section as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "SECTIO:, 8-B. There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the Public V1,orks Department, heretofore known as the Street Department, and the salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted shall be as follows: Position No. Position Salary Per Month 1 Superintendent of Streets & Sewers ;375.00 2 Assistant Superintendent of Streets and Sewers 325.00 3 Foreman (3 positions) 300.00 4 Clerk -typist 180.00 Hourly Rate 5 Sewer Maintenance men (6 positions) 1,50 6 Equipment Operators (5 positions) 1.57 7 Street Repairmen (7 positions) 1.38 8 Truck Drivers (9 positions) 1,32 9 Laborers (11 positions) 1,25 Laborers shall be paid at the rate of ;)1.1712 per hour for the first 6 months of their employment and $1.25 per hour thereafter. 10 Chief Mechanic 1.64 17.
