A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO EXECUTE FOR THE CITY A PETITION TO THE
McCRACKEN COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, McCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY,
FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY TO BE PLACED IN THE PADUCAH INDEPENDENT
SCHOOL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, on June 3, 1952 by ordinance of record in Ordinance
Book 12, page 803, certain property known as "Forest Hills was
annexed into the City of Paducah, Kentucky; and
WHEREAS, a petition to the McCracken County Board of Educa-
tion, McCracken County, Kentucky, has been prepared asking that
said annexed territory be placed in the Paducah Independent School
District, which petition is to be executed by the owners of property
in said annexed territory; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah owns certain property therein
and deems it advisable that said annexed territory be placed in
said Paducah Independent School District.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF C0114LISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the P,Iayor be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute, on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a petition
to the McCracken County Board of Education, McCracken County,
Kentucky, asking that the property known as "Forest Hills" be
placed in the Paducah Independent School District.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
