That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted on December 11, 1951, and amended on June 9, 1953, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordai.ned so that said !' section as amended and reordained shall read as follows: p�E "SECTION 1. The number and rank of members of the Fire Department �.�vIL' of the City of Paducah and their monthly salaries, provided said salaries QNiE,p 1�r"""`�%N 1-1 - p� 011-1-4--1 11 are not changed under any annual apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted shall be as follows: Position Number of Positions Konthly Salary 5 S Fire Chief 1 ;1400.00 First Assistant Chief 1 325.00 8 Second Assistant Chief 1 310.00 Fire Prevention Inspector 1 300.00 Fire Captains 10 300.00 Fire Lieutenants 10 285.00 iEngineers 12 272.00 Fire Alarm Operators 4 285.00 (Same rank as Firemen) Firemen 30 265.00 Provided, however, that any fireman hereafter appointed, during his first year of service shall receive a salary of ,1245.00 per month and upon completion of a year of satisfactory service as determined by the City Manager on recommendation of the Fire Chief, his monthly salary shall be increased I to w255.00 for the second year of'service, and upon completion of the second year of satisfactory service as determined by the City Tanager on recommenda- tion of the Fire Chief, his monthly salary shall be increased to the sum of u265.00." SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith � it are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 3.
