ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUILDING CODE RECOA%SENDED BY THE NATIONAL BOARD
OF FIRE UhDLRPIR.ITERS, EXCEPT CERTAIN CLAUSES AND- SECTIONS THEREOF WHICH
ARE HEREBY EXPRESSLY ELEMENATED'AND ALSO ADOPTING THE STANDARDS OF SAFETY
APPROVED BY THE DIVISION OF IIISURANCE FIRE PREVENTION AND RATES SECTION OF
THE STATE OF KEIITUCKY; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOTMEENT OF A BUILDIIiG INSPECTOR
TO ADI%=NISTER AND ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS OF THE BUILDING CODE AND THE
STANDARDS OF SAFETY; FIXING THE FEES TO BE CHARGED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR
BUILDING AND WRECKING PERMITS; FIXING AND PRESCRIBING THE QUALIFICATIONS
OF THE BUILDING INSPECTOR, HIS CODIPENSATION, POWERS AND DUTIES; PROVIDING
A SEPARABILITY CLAUSE AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THERE'rlITH;
AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD
OF COI•IdISSIONERS Oil SEPTFd-MER 24TH, 1946, AND AMENDED Oi'd FEBRUARY 27, 1951.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C01•11ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 3 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on September
24th, 1946, and amended on February 27, 1951, be, and the same is hereby
repealed, amended and reordained so'that said section as amended and reordained
shall read as follows:
"SECTIO;': 3. The Building Inspector shall, upon his approval of plansJ�
and specifications for buildings and structures in accordance with the pro
visions of the Building Code, the Standards of Safety, and all lams and
ordinances relating to the same subject matter, issue a permit to the applicant
therefor upon the payment to the City of Paducah of fees as follows:
"For each building permit covering the construction, alteration
or repair of any buildin„ or structvx^.`o,c-1 less than 0300.00 no fec
shall be charged unless an inspection is required in which case 'there shall
be a •;)2.00 fee; to cost less than :j1,000.00.the fee shall be )4.00; to cost
1,000.00 the fee shall be .4.00 and 25 cents for each additional x100.00 or
fractional part thereof up to 0,000-00;.and to cost •,'3,000.00 the fee shall
be 010.00 and -02.00 for each additional ;'1,000.00 or fractional part thereof."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts or ordinances in conflict herewith
are, to the extent of.such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTIO;] 3. This ordinance shall be in 1:11 force and effect from and aft,
its adoption. ; J
