HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 168, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF LINCOLN STREET IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, SOUTH OF QUARLES AVENUE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL TO INSTITUTE A SUIT IN THE McCRACKEN CIRCUIT COURT FOR THE PURPOSE OF HAVING SAID PORTION OF SAID STREET LEGALLY CLOSED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky does hereby authorize the closing of all of Lincoln Street in Paducah, Kentucky south of Quarles Avenue, except the following: "Beginning at an iron pin, a point on the south line of Quarles Avenue, said point being 337.1 feet east of the intersection of South line of Quarles Avenue, and the east line of Mayfield Road; thence south 73 degrees 13 minutes east 60.0 feet to an iron pin on the south side of Quarles 'Avenue; thence in a Southerly direction South 3 degrees 06 minutes West 221.78 feet to an iron pin in the line of Ellen E. Metzger this line being parallel to the Mayfield Road; thence witA the line of said Ellen E. Metzger north 74 degrees 44 minutes west 59.64 feet to an iron in in Ellen E. Metzger's line; thence north 3 degrees 06 minutes east 223.41 feet, this line being parallel to the Mayfield Road, to the point of beginning, and containing 0.31 acres, more or less." SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered to institute in the McCracken Circuit Court, pursuant to the provisions of KRS 94.360, a suit for a decree ordering the closing of the above set out property.
