HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 161, No Resolution Number161 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY OF CERTAIN RADIO EQUIPMENT FOR USE BY .THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SAID BIDS SHALL BE SUBMITTED BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF C%1MISS)IONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to advertise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah of the follovring radio equipment for use by the Police Department: One (1) - Police -Mobile transmitter received complete mobile control, 60 watt mobile 155.13 154.89 megacycles Each bidder shall state the amount acceptable in payment of the full purchase price for the above equipment, and shall submit a complete description showing the equipment he proposes to supply and shall designate the time required for delivery to the City. SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in at least one (1) issue of the Paducah Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at least seven (7) days prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten (10) days from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received unless udder seal nor shall any bid be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids, and the City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said equipment until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a contract. SECTION 3.
