HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 140, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF KRUG-THOMAS TRUCK AND TRACTOR COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) PICK-UP TRUCK; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONTRACT TO PURCHASE SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky accept the bid of Krug -Thomas Truck & Tractor Company in the amount of $1,530.15, less $435.15 for trade-in of one (1) 1941 Chevrolet pick-up truck, making the total delivery cost of $1,095.00 for the sale to the City of one (1) R-110 International Motor Truck, full enclosed cab, heater, heavy 1011 clutch, 600 x 16 6 -ply tires and spare with pick-up body. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a contract for the purchase of said truck as set out above. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form in which it shall be put'upon its final passage, but it being necessary for the public health and safety of the City of Paducah, Kentucky that said truck be purchased as soon as possible in order that the work in the street department may be carried on without delay, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. mayor Introduced by the Board of -Commissioners June 8, 1954 Pgssed by the Board of Commissioners June 162 1954 Recorded by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, June 16, 1954•
