SYSTEI,I I17 ATTD HEAR DRAINAGE PUIu S^lATIO: :0.1, AND PRESCRIBING THE COI:DITIOhS UPON MIECH A CONTRACT FOR SUCH COTSTRUCTION SHALL BE LET BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COM-IISSIOEERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTIOII 1. That the Acting City eager be, and he is hereby, authorized to advertise for bids for the construction of certain improvements to the Storm Relief Sewer Project No. IY 15 -CF -8 in and near drainage pump station irl according to plans and specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer of Paducah, Kentucky. Each bidder shall be required to deposit a cashierts check, certified check or an acceptable bidderts bond payable to the City of Paducah in an amount not less than 5°0of the bid submitted as a guarantee that the successful bidder will promp'Vly contract with the city and furnish a suitable performance bond. Said advertisement shall recite that the rates of pay for laborers and other persons engaged in such construction will not be less than the pervailing local wage *crates for similar work as determined by the Secretary of Labor in accordance with Public Law Ho. 403 of the Seventy-fourth Congress, approved August 30, 1935, as amended, and will also not be less than any state wage law that may be applicable. SECTIOT? 2. The Acting City n5anager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted at the city hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in at least one issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at least seven days prior to the opening of bids, and no bid shall be opened within ten days from the date upon which this resolution is adopted. I:o bid shall be received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by the Acting City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the contract to the lowest and best bidder. The Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and shall not become legally obligated to accept any bid until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing such acceptance, and no bidder shall be permitted to withdraw his bid for a period of fifteen days after the time set for the receiving of bids. SECTIOI 3.
