A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE SERVICES OF MR. FRED H. MORGAN AS
CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH
WHEREAS, Mr. Fred H. Morgan, at the request of the Board of
Commissioners of the City of Paducah, assumed the office of City Manager
of said city on July 1, 1952, and agreed to serve as City Manager during
the period of emergency on a temporary basis until the position could be
permanently filled, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Morgan graciously consented to accept the appoint -
went as City Manager in order to aid the Board of Commissioners and the
citizens of Paducah by filling said position until a permanent appointment
could be made, and
WHEREAS, I. -r. Morgan has now tendered his resignation as City Manager
effective September 30, 1952, in accordance with his understanding with the
Board of Commissioners so that said position can be permanently filled.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Board of Commissioners,
for and on behalf of its members and on behalf of the officers, employees
and residents of the City of Paducah, by this resolution, publicly express
appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Fred H. Morgan for graciously and un-
selfishly serving as City Manager of Paducah, Kentucky for the period from
July 1, 1952 to September 30, 1952, and that Mr. Morgan be, and he is hereby,
commended for coming to the aid of his city and capably and untiringly
filling this position, and in so doing he has demonstrated not only the
spirit of public service but also real administrative ability by the honest
and efficient manner in which he has served.
