AN ORDINANCE FIXING HOLIDAYS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the following days during each calendar year be -
designated as holidays on which all city employees, with the exception of the
police and fire department personnel, will be granted a holiday:
New Year's Days (January 1)
Washington's Birthday (February 22)
Memorial Day (May 30)
Independence Day (July 4)
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
and such other holidays as may from time to time be designated by motion of
the Board of Commissioners. If any of the days mentioned herein as holidays
fall on Sunday the next day thereafter shall be observed as a holiday.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
