HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 889, No Ordinance Number889 ✓ AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ANNEXATION AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY AND NECESSITY OF EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUC1 BY ANW-MG CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE NORTHWEST CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH WEST OF 32ND STREET AND NORTH OF PINES ROAD AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF THAT TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY BE IT ORDINANED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1 It is hereby proposed that certain terriotry adjacent to the Northwest City Limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a more particular description of which is as follows, be annexed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky: Beginning at a point in the present corporate limits line of the City of Paducah, said point being 217.81 northwardly from the northerly property line of the Pines Road and 150 feet westwardly from the westerly property line of 32nd street; thence in a westerly direction and parallel with the northerly line of the Pines Road 625 feet; thence in a southerly direction and parallel with 32nd street a distance of 67.8 feet to the present corporate limits line; thence in an easterly direction with the present corporate limits line and parallel with the Pines Road a distance of 625 feet; thence in a northerly direction and continuing with the present corporate limits line 150 feet from and parallel with 32nd Street a distance of 67.8 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2 This ordinance shall be published in at leastten issues of the Sun -Democrat, the official newspaper of the City of Paducah, and the extension of the City Limits as herein proposed, and such ordinance shall not be adopted until the expiration of 30 days after the passage of this ordinance and the publication thereof as required by law.
