WHEREAS, GUTHRIE MAY, THE OWNER AND DEVELOPER OF CORNELL PLACE 140. 2, A SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, IMNTUCICY HAS INDICATED HIS INTENTION TO IMPROVE SAID SUBDIVISION AND TO PAVE ALABAMA STREET THEREIN WTH A CONCRETE SURFACE ACCORDING TO THE PLAN AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ACCORDING TO THE ELEVATIONS FILED TIIIS DAY MTH THE BOARD OF C011-NISSIOM' s; 1.11 -MEAS, THE BOARD OF COMMSIONERS HAVE INVESTIGATED THE DESIRABILITY OF PERMITTING SAID DEVELOPER TO LAY AND CONSTRUCT SAID STREET AND HAVING CONSIDERED THE OBJECTION TO THE CITY ENGINEER OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND BELIEVING THAT IT 1'OULD BE TO THE BEST INTEREST OF SAID CITY AND TO THE OWNERS OF THE PROPERTY IN SAID ADDITION TO PERMIT SAID DEVELOPER TO SURFACE ALABAMA STREET ACCORDING TO SAID PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONTS AND AT HIS 0WN EXPENSE; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF C0101ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH: SECTION 1 That the plans and specifications of said Guthrie May as filed with the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah and the elevations as specified on the plan profile also filed with said Board is hereby approved, said approval, however, being conditioned that the City of Paducah shall in no way be responsible for the cost of constructing said Street or liable for any defects thereof should said Street be constructed othenfise than specified in said specifications; provided further that said pavement shall be a concrete slab 30 feet wide having a 6 inch curb on each side thereof; said pavement to be 5 inches thick at the gutters with a thickness of 7 inches at the crown; provided further that said concrete used in said Street shall be mix test 3,500 lbs. per square inch, lime stone aggregate. SECTION 2 This resolution is intended as an indication of approval only and before any surfacing is constructed in said addition, an ordinance shall first be adopted authorizing said construction and providing the terms therof. SECTION 3 This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
