HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 802, No Ordinance NumberIt j Bot ✓ AMENDED ANT ORDINANCE DRCI IRDIG CERTADT STREETS P1 TILL' CITY OF PADUW1 O,,qE-1lAY STREETS, LIDIITING THE USE TI-ICRI:OF, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOIATIOPI TILf-pUlOF BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BO --'SD OP CO.aiISSIOUMS OF TIFCITY OF PADUCA11' i0s;'TUCICr; SECTION 1 -The following Streets or portions of Streets are hereby declared to be one -xray streets, and all vehicular traffic using said streets shall proceed in the direction hereinafter indicated: (a) Broadway from 9th Street to 1st Street shall be limited to vehicular traffic traveling east. (b) 1st Street between Broadway and Kentucky Avenue shall be limited to vehicular traffic traveling south. (c) 1st Street betumen Broadway and Jefferson Street shall be limited to vehicular traffic traveling north. (d) Jefferson Street between lst Street and 9th Street shall be limited to vehicular traffic traveling rest. (c) 3rd Street between Jefferson Street and Washington Street shall be limited to vehicular traffic traveling south. SECTION 2. No vehicle shall be operated or parked on those streetsdesignated as one-way streets in a direction other than the direction authorized in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. It having heretofore been a violation to turn left on Broadway between lst Street and 6th Street, inclusivd, it is now declared that traffic may turn either left of right on Broadway provided same will not violate other provisions of this ordinance and is otherwise done according to Statute, Laws and Ordinances pertaining thereto. SECTION 4 Any Person, firm, company or corporation violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined a stun of not less than $2.00 nor more than $50.00 and each time such violation occurs shall be considered a separate offense. SECTION 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION' G.
