HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 799, No Ordinance Number799 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING TIM BID OF WILSON MACHINERY & SUPPLY COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ONE (1) ONE-HALF CUBIC YARD CRAI-MER TYPE BACKHOE AND DRAGLINE COIJBINATION FOR USE IN TIM STREET DEPARTMENT; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE THEREOF BE IT ORDAINED BY TILE BOARD OF COP MSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, ICENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Wilson Machinery & Supply Company in the amount of $14,129.00 for the sale of one (1) Link Belt Speeder model LS -51 1/2 cu/ yard Trench Hoe, as said bachoe is described in said Companyts bid dated Play 19, 1952. SECTION 2 That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into and execute, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, a contract for the purchase of said backhoe, provided that said contract shall contain all of the terms, conditions and agreements as set forth in said Company?s bid, together with such additional conditions and convenants which the City Manager may deem necessary. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, but it being necessary for the Street Kepartment to be furnished with said equipment as soon as possible in order that certain sm-Ter and other work be done for the protection of the public health and safety, and emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
