HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 794, No Ordinance Number794 / AN ORDINANCE AMCNDING SECTION 37 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: 'SAN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE SEPTUIBER 11 1943$ EDITION OF THE STANDARDS OF THE NATIONAL BOARD OF FIRE: UNDER— TYRITERS FOR THE INSTALLATION, MAINTENANCE AND USE OF PIPING, APPLIANCES AND FITTINGS FOR CITY GAS AS RECOAIMUDED BY THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION, AND AS THE SAME HAVE BEEN REFMRED TO IN THE 1948 EDITION OF THE STANDARDS OF SAFETY ADOPTED AND APPROVED BY THE DIVISION OF INSURANCE OF THE C01MKONVEALTH OF IMNTUCICY; PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCM1ENTT BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS RELATING TO THE INSTALLATION AND MMENANCE AND USE OF PIPING, APPLIANCES AND FITTINGS FOR CITY GAS; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE11ITH; AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR ANY VIOLATION HEREOF", IJHICH W ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMISSIONERS ON SEPTMMER 12, 1950, AND X[ LADED ON MARCH 25, 1952. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, Ia;NTUC6Y: SECTION' 1. That Section 37 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which eras adopted by the Board of Commissioners on September 12, 1950, and amended on March 25, 1952, be, and the same is hereby repealed, amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows; ItSECTION 37. The provisions of the Standards of the National Board of Fire Under— Q T �_� z,Titers for the installation, maintenance and use of Piping, Appliances and Fittings for City Gas shall be administered and enforced by the Chief of the Fire Department, by and through subordinates appointed by him, and the Chief of the Fire Department, or the members of the department charged with the responsibility of administering and enforcing said standards by the direction of the Chief of the Fire Department shall, upon their inspection and approval of a gas appliance, accessory or piping system in accordance with the provisions of said standards, issue a permit to the applicant therefore upon the payment of the following fees: (1) For the inspections of gas appliances, piping and venting, fees shall be charged according to the following schedule: For the piping, venting and appliances served by one gas meter — Basic Fee of $2.00 per meter Plus 504 for each appliance. (2) For each re—inspection of each gas appliance, gccessory or piping system where it is found at the time of the previous inspection that the installation has not been made in accordance with said minimum requirements, the fee shall be $2.00.11 SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. .LED /9-'- 7' SECTION 3.
