HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 784, No Ordinance Number784 V} AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE GOVERNING AND REGULATINiG THE INSTALLATION AND INSPECTION OF ALL ELECTRICAL ["TIRING AND APPLIANCES WITHINT THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; ESTABLISHING THE FEES AND CHARGES FOR MAKING ELECTRICAL INSPECTIOES; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF AN ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR; PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF THE ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR AND FIXING THE AMOUNT OS HIS COMPENSATION; PROVIDING THE PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH", WHICH WAS ADOPTED ON MARCH6, 1951. , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Sactien 6 of an ordinance bearing the title quoted in tho title h�_,rcof be, anu it is hereby, amended so that in its amended state it shall read as "ollows: For making electrical inspections as provided ordinance, there shall be charged to in this Y each person owning or having inspected the following rates for said service, to -wit: property y � (1) Fees for all t ypes of wiring methods for lighting or any system where sockets or receptables are in- tended to be installed for lamp -holding devices or 1` 1b for the attachment of small portable devices not herein provided for. (a) For the equipment of 10 or less such outlets ------------ $1.50 (b) For each additional outlet over 10 ---------------------- vP. 10 (2) Arc lights,mercury lamps (other than flour- escent), ceiling fans and similar devices. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect .from and after its adoption. Passed by the Board of Commissioners May 20, 1952 Recorded by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, May 20, 1952• In addition to the foregoing charges in this item (15)'there shall be charged for circuits in excess of 4 per service installation as follows: 5 to 10 circuits "`------------------------------- Y1.50 11 to 15 circuits -------------------------------- $2.00 16 to 25 circuits -------------------------------- $2.50 Over 25 circuits ------------------ $2.50 plus $ .50 for each 10 circuits or fraction thereof over 25 circuits (16) For increasing the size of a service, changing the location of service or meter center where no other fee is assessed ------------------------------- $3.00 (17) Thermostats and devices of similar nature used for control purposes, connected to a lighting or power circuit where no other fee is assessed, each--------------------------------------------------- $1.00 118) Temporary wiring as provided for elsewhere in ordinance for lights and power included ---------------- $1.50 (19) The installation of any wiring, device, apparatus, appliance or equipment operating on voltage in excess of 100 and not specifically covered herein, each--------------------------------------------------- $1.00 (20) For each additional inspection where inspectors are required to make additional trips on account or permittee's failure to comply with all pro- visions of National Electric Code, each trip ----------- $1.50 (21)) For all work performed on Sundays, holidays and after regular working hours, at request of permittee all fees heretofore enumerated shall be at double time rate." SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 3.
