HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 768, No Ordinance Number761/ AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF KRUG-THOMAS TRUCK & TRACTOR COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ONE (1) 1,225 GALLON DISTRIBUTOR MOUNTED 01 TRUCK FOR USE IN THE STREET DEPARTMENT; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY A:ANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FuR THE PURCHASE THEREOF BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COP11ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Krug-Thomas Truck &.Tractor Company in the amount of $7,095.00 for the sale of one (1) 1,225 gallon Standard Steel Works Model 424-50% Bituminous Pressure Distributor, mounted on International Chassis Model L-112, and as said truck and distributor are describe in said Company's bid dated April 21, 1952. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to enter into and execute, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah,a contract for the purchase of same, provided that said contract shall contain all of the terms, conditions and agreements as set forth in said Company's bid, together with such additional conditions and covenants which the City Manager may deem necessary. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regularly called meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, but it being necessary for the street department to be furnished with sad equipment as soon as possible in order to properly maintain the streets for the protection of the public health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
