HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 707, No Ordinance Number707 �i AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 16 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANC PRESCRIBING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, PRESCRIBING THE QUALIFICATIONS, POWERS AND DUTIES AND FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING A SEPARABILITY CLAUSE, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF CO14MISSIONERS ON JANUARY 7, 1947. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: "SECTION 1. That Section 16 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on January 7, 1947, be a nd the same is hereby amended, so that as amended said section shall read as follows: "Section 16. Any and all rewards, fees, gifts and donations paid or given on account of extraordinary or meritorious service by members of the Police Department shall be delivered to the Chief of Police who shall forthwith turn same over to the Treasurer of the City of Paducah to be deposited to the credit of the Police and Firemen's Pension Fund." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
