HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 641, No Resolution Numberb41 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING HOUSING AND HOME FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR TO GRANT TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AN EXTENSION TO APRIL 15th, 1952, FOR SUBMISSION OF THE PLAN16 AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN ADDITION TO THE RIVERSIDE HOSPITAL UNDER PROJECT NO. KT 15-P-1029. WHEREAS, under the grant offer of the United States of America, acting by and through the Housing and Home Finance Administrator, to make to the City of Paducah an advancement of $36,620.00 to aid in financing the cost of the pre- paration of pkhns for the construction of an addition to the Riverside Hospital, which grant offer was accepted on February 20th, 1951, it was provided that the plan preparations referred to therein should be completed within 365 days from the receipt of the initial advance; and, WHEREAS, the time within which said plans and specifications were to be submitted has expired; and WHEREAS, by reason of the reduction in the amount of the federal funds available and the consequent necessity of a complete revision of the architect's plans and specifications after they had been prepared, as well as the necessity of also revising the plans and specifications in order to make certain structural changes in the operating room area and the nursery facilities as required by Mr. Robert Alker of the United States Public Health Service, considerably more time has been necessary for the completion of the plans and specifications than had been contemplated. NOVI THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah request of the Housing and Home Finance Administrator of the United States an extension of time for the completion and submission of the plans and specifications for the construction of an addition to the Riverside Hospital, under Project No. Ky. 15-P-1029, and that said city be given to and including the 15th day of April, 1952, to submit said plans and specifications. SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
