HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 625, No Resolution Number625 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO GRANT TO THE WESTERN KENTUCKY GAS COMPANY A PERMIT TO LAY GAS MAINS IN THE GRASS PLOT ON THE EAST SIDE OF 3RD STREET TO THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF 3RD AND MONROE STREETS; ON THE NORTH SIDE OF MONROE TO THE DRIVEWAY OF THE OLD GAS PLANT BUILDING; ALSO ON THE EAST SIDE OF 3RD STREET FROM MONROE TO JEFFERSON STREET, AND ON THE EAST SIDE OF 3RD STREET BETWEEN ADAMS AND NORTON STREETS, AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PERMITS SHALL BE GRANTED BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah authorize the City Engineer to grant to the Western Kentucky Gas Company a permit to lay gas mains in the grass plots on the east side of 3rd street from the Kentucky Utilities Company's meter shop building to the southeast corner of 3rd and Monroe Streets; thence from there on the north side of Monroe to the driveway of the Old Gas Plant building; and also on the east side of north 3rd street between Monroe and Jefferson streets, and on the east side of 3rd street between Adams and Norton streets, and that said permit be granted upon condition that said company comply with all the provisions of an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE DIGGING, OPENING OR EXCAVATING IN ANY STREET, SIDEWALK, GRASS PLOT, ALLEY OR OTHER PUBLIC WAY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR ANY VIOLATION THEREOF", which was adopted on September 4, 1946, as amended thereafter, and also with the provisions of another ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE FURTHER REGULATING THE DIGGING, OPENING OR EXCAVATING IN ANY STREET, SIDEWALK., GRASS PLOT, ALLEY OR OTHER PUBLIC WAY IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR ANY VIOLATION THEREOF", which was adopted on June 17, 1947. SECTION 2.
