HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 611, No Ordinance Number611 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR IMPOUNDING OF VEHICLES PARKED IN VIOLATION OF THE LAW BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. Any vehicle parked upon the public streets of the City of Paducah at a place, in a manner or for a length of time prohibited by an ordinance of the city is, if unoccupied, hereby declared to be an obstruction in such streets and a public nuisance; and any police officer of the city is hereby authorized to cause the same to be removed to and impounded in the depository provided by the city for such purposes. y SECTION 2. It is further provided that a service charge of 0.00 shall be paid to the city in addition to any fine which may be imposed before thei�Z� 6 Z7 release of any such impounded vehicle is authorized, and it is further provided that before the release of any impounded vehicle is authorized, all storage and hauling charges must be paid. SECTION 3. Any automobile impounded shall be held for a period of six weeks and, if unclaimed by that time, shall be advertised and sold. SECTION 4.
